Dent:Dinner with Explorer Gaelin Rosenwaks — Sun Valley

  • The Grill at Knob Hill Inn 960 North Main Street Sun Valley, ID, 83353 United States (map)

Denter and famed ocean explorer Gaelin Rosenwaks is coming to Ketchum/Sun Valley to speak at the Ketchum Community Library on Feb 7. In celebration of her visit, we will be getting together with Gaelin and Dent community members to enjoy each other’s company along with some great food and wine. For Dent Passport holders, this dinner is an all-inclusive gathering, and is complimentary (beverages, food, desserts, tax, and gratuity are provided). (Apply for a Dent Passport here.) Due to group size, some food and wine menu options may be limited.

Gaelin is a marine scientist, explorer, photographer, filmmaker, and author of Sperm Whales: The Gentle Goliaths of the Oceans (Rizzoli, 2022). She began her career at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, conducting research in Antarctica, and then earned her Master’s Degree in Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University, researching giant bluefin tunas. Alarmed by the changes happening in the oceans, Gaelin founded Global Ocean Exploration Inc. to share her passion for ocean exploration, marine conservation, and storytelling. She now participates in and conducts expeditions in every ocean to alert the public not only to the challenges facing the oceans, but also to what science is doing to understand these changes.
